Bacon
Today was super humid. It felt like I was swimming in air! Dylan and I beat the heat by going to the Met to see the Francis Bacon exhibit. I like his paintings a lot. They are amazingly creepy. There were several rooms full of them. Here's a taste:

sometimes it stops raining
Last week Dylan and I experienced some art by Ernesto Neto at the Armory.
These droopy things were filled with different things like cloves and cayenne pepper.
The installation was supposed to represent the body or something.
On Tuesday our class took a trip to the Bronx Zoo. It was a beautiful day.

boring blog sans pictures
As of late:
1. Curse of the bedbugs fell upon us. TERRIBLE (but getting better).
2. Raining like crazy.
3. Spent one nice day at Rockaway Beach.
4. Saw the Philanthropist with Matthew Broderick and Steven Weber (from Wings) for free. It was just ok.
5. Went to a David Byrne concert at Prospect Park for frees. Fun.
6. 2 MORE WEEKS OF TEACHING LEFT!

3 day weekend coolness
First off, conGRADuations to Jessica who just graduated with a masters from Teachers College!!!!

Today I went along with the 6th grade girls to Camp Kaufmann for Girl Scouts. It was nice to get out of the city and they girls had a lot of fun. It's funny how they forget to be naughty when they are out in nature having fun.

These are two of my girls Sonia and Niona. Niona ate 3 hotdogs. I told her she should enter in the contest at Coney Island and she said, "I'm gonna!"

This is my little Luz. She is very timid and was scared to go on the trip, but I made her and look how much fun she ended up having!

This Memorial Day weekend was spent with a visit from Steven Kholman and Matt Wulf.

newish things
Last weekend, I went on a retreat with the staff at my school. It was great, we stayed at the Mariott in Terrytown, just north of the Bronx. I really like my co-workers.
This is the view from our hotel room. Nature...
Here's my friend Natalie resting on our comfortable beds.
Yesterday Dylan used his powers of persuasion and scored us some really nice seats at Yankee Stadium for a really low price. The Yankees were playing the Twins!
Here are some things that were yelled at us:
"Is that your cousin or your girlfriend?"
"They must be Twins!"
"All the denim in the world can't save you now!" (We both happened to be wearing jean jackets).
"Take a picture while someone's kicking his ass!"
"Boooooooo!"
The Twins lost.
