Songs you listen to a lot

I really like the song "Life's a Dream" from the new Built to Spill album, but that's about it.

What are some songs you've been repeating lately?

SF Trip #2/ Giggle Fest

I'm back from the West Coast. I had such a great time seeing my best girlfriends. I love them all! They make me laugh a lot.

This is what New York looked like on the way out. Snowy and depressing.

I arrived at my hostel located on the water and decided to head straight to the touristy bike rental place so I could make it across the Golden Gate Bridge before sundown.
Here is a view on my way up to the bridge:

I didn't have much time! I had to peddle so fast.

Look at all that bridge ahead.

Here's me looking cool with my bike gear.

Beauty.

Then my friends drove into the city and we had our first Hooters experience. The food at Hooters is terrible. Don't believe people if they tell you they are going for the wings.

The next day we explored Berkeley.
And later that night we did some karaoke. The videos were very serious, but that didn't ruin our fun.

Thursday we checked out some art at the SF MOMA.

Thursday night: Cal Academy of Sciences partay. There was an indoor rainforest.

Friday we walked around in the woods.

And went to the beach.

And drove to Napa.

Friday night.....things got crazy!

Drag show.

Friendship.

I'm not exactly sure what's happening here.

Saturday morning we had some tasty brunch treats.

Saturday afternoon Alena and I went to see a movie at the Castro Theater.

That's about it!

and all of that jiving around

First things first: Wednesday we had a snow day. Remember, snow days are one of the best things ever. The mayor announced it early Tuesday evening. New Yorkers are such weenies when it comes to snow, but if it results in a snow day, I'm down. I trekked over to Natalie's and we ate this feast:

South Williamsburg during a blizzard.

Thursday was Dyl's new band's first show at a bar in our neighborhood. It was great! All the best people were there. I don't have any pictures of the band, but I do have some pictures of the glow stick activities that ensued afterwards.

Last night we partied at the Chelsea Hotel for Carly's birthday.

This is me and Kaitlyn on the bed.

This is us over doing it on drugs... or something like that.

This is a bunch of mold on the wall.

This is Dylan Thomas contemplating his next stanza at the Chelsea Hotel.

This is Dylan Thomas drinking Chelsea Hotel water.

This is Dylan Thomas dying of alcohol poisoning at the Chelsea Hotel (or maybe it was the mold...or the water.)

We decided to explore and we found Leonard Cohen's BMX bike!

Of course I had to try it out.

These halls were full of spirits.

We found the place where they keep all the dead bodies.

There was a lot of art to take in.

We looked at this sweeeeeeeeeeeet painting of Sid Vicious.

What's over here?

A bunch of weird stuff.

We interpreted this art.

This is the room where Sid killed Nancy/Arthur C. Clarke wrote 2001/Mark Twain lived/people did a lot of drugs.

I interpreted this art.

Did you know The Shining was filmed at the Chelsea Hotel?!?! (JK)

We went to the 10th floor.

And we saw this.

And this checkered corner.

That is all. I have this coming week off! I'm headed West!
