Has anyone seen these new Pixies Vans? Hmmmmm..........

Minnesota

I was in MN for about two weeks. I was all over the place and got to see many wonderful people.

First I was in Mankato and I saw all the Duffy's. I forgot to take pictures.

Then I spent some time with the Schultz family in Ely. Here is a view from the cabin.

I saw this beaver.

Sometimes I let others row while I just sat in the canoe.

I also went to Willmar and saw more family but forgot to take pictures again.

Then I went back to Mankato.

I went to a b-day party with BFF Rachel.

Then we saw our old pal Rose.

And my last night was spent in Minneapolis. I stayed with Elizabeth.

We had the same sunglasses! Isn't that crazy?!

And Matt, Steve, and Evin joined us and we sang some karaoke. It was Elizabeth's first time. As you can see, she looks unsure about it. But she sang!

Bacon

Today was super humid. It felt like I was swimming in air! Dylan and I beat the heat by going to the Met to see the Francis Bacon exhibit. I like his paintings a lot. They are amazingly creepy. There were several rooms full of them. Here's a taste:

On Sunday I made Italian Enchiladas and tonight I made Tex-Mex Lasagna. I'm mixin' it up around here.

Happy 4th

So, the weather has improved and I've been working on my tan.

Dylan's pal Kevin from high school days came to NYC for a visit.

On the 4th, I called grandma up and got her potato salad recipe. It turned out pretty good!

We went to Sarah and Frank's place in Brooklyn for a cookout on their patio. Dylan works with three of these people.
This is Pickles the puppy. I wish she would have played with me more.
Dylan was psyched to eat all of this food!

I also made the blueberry pie to the left. It was so tasty, as was the pride cake.

Everyone was having a good time.

We couldn't see the real deal NYC fireworks, but some people were shooting them off the roof, so we got a little firework action.
